What is this site all about?

The Online Cookerybook is something I've had a mind to do for years. I adore food and love cooking and I've always wanted to write a website where those of similar mindset can contribute and generally hangout. See What's this about

Can I post recipes myself?

Yes! See the submission guidelines below first. You posts will not initially be visible as all the recipe sections are set up with 'Editoral control' so your posts will need to be approved by a moderator or admin first. If you want to edit an un-approved recipe, you'll find a 'articles awaiting approval' button in your profile.

All recipes are usually versions of existing ones, can I copy other peoples recipes?

This site is intended as a repository of original recipes created by site members. Please don't directly copy published material although I realise that most recipes are versions of ones that have gone before.

Submission guidelines
  • Avoid direct ripping off of published material

  • If you're putting a twist on published content, say so and quote the originator

  • Keep it clean - no offensive content.

  • No promoting of business interests on this website.

  • No baiting, trolling or any form of abuse of other members
